Alpinestars RK-1 Plasma knee brace

The RK-1 PLASMA knee brace is anatomically designed and suitable for all types of off-road riding. It is designed to comfortably support the knee while being light, breathable and protective. The Nucleon PLASMA knee brace is incorporated into an innovative hybrid frame construction, which consists of a flexible composite material injection moulded onto a high performance polymer blend to provide excellent frame rigidity, whilst being flexible at the top and bottom straps.

This knee protector provides optimal structural integrity and support, while being extremely light and flexible. This reduces the risk of injury to the medial and lateral collateral ligaments, the anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments and the lateral and medial meniscus
Replaceable, three-piece knee pads consisting of a polyurethane outer shell with a Nucleon PLASMA protective layer that provides the optimum combination of impact protection, flexibility and scratch resistance
Self-centring knee protection and strategically placed upper and lower knee extensions ensure maximum coverage regardless of the angle of flexion or extension
The extremely stable, slim four-point hinge system adapts perfectly to the bend of the knee, while the extensions, available in a range from 0 to 30 degrees, help to adjust the knee protector to the desired maximum opening angle
Stainless steel bushes of the four-point hinge system are treated against oxidation
Nucleon PLASMA is a viscoelastic material developed from bio-based polymers and moulded into a structure that is flexible in all directions while having the ability to dissipate impact energy. The lightweight and well-ventilated knee protector ensures strong distribution and absorption of impact forces, while providing maximum coverage in all riding positions
Central buckles on the inside of the knee are placed inside the frame to prevent contact with the motorcycle

The central buckles can be easily locked in the closed position with a keyhole locking system
