The RK-10 is ultra-lightweight, ultra-breathable, ultra-comfortable and ultra-protective and features a free-floating Nucleon Plasma knee protector, which is integrated into an innovative asymmetric forged carbon fibre frame construction that provides the highest level of rigidity and superior weight reduction properties.
Developed based on feedback from professional MX riders, this 34-layer carbon fibre frame is designed for an optimal balance between flexibility and stiffness to provide the highest level of comfort and support for the rider, while minimising the risk of injury to the medial and lateral collateral ligaments, anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments, and the lateral and medial meniscus.
The geometry of this frame has been precisely designed using countless 3D scans of professional athletes to ensure optimum internal volume and precise hinge width for maximum comfort during use.
The tips of the top and bottom of the frame have an innovative soft and flexible construction with a smooth transition that prevents the hard edges of the carbon fibre frame from coming into direct contact with the skin.
The interchangeable knee cups are made of an outer polyurethane shell backed by a Nucleon Plasma protective layer for an optimal combination of impact protection, flexibility and scratch resistance.
Strategically positioned upper and lower knee extensions ensure maximum coverage regardless of the angles of flexion or extension.
The extremely stable, compact, low-profile, four-point hinge system follows the articulation of the knee perfectly, while stretch stops, available from 0 to 30 degrees, help to adjust the brace to the desired maximum opening angle.
The interchangeable hinge covers transition smoothly from the hinges to the frame, effectively eliminating any steps in the structure to prevent the possibility of material jamming.
Nucleon Plasma is a highly elastic material made from bio-based polymers and moulded into a structure that is flexible in all directions while maintaining the ability to dissipate impact energy.
